Keep the promises you make to yourself

We make promises to others we wouldn't think of breaking: our spouses, friends, our business partners our coworkers. Yet, we have no problems breaking the promises we make to ourselves. "I won't waste time on useless sites", "I'll stop procrastinating", "I'll do better", "I won't lose my temper", "I won't drink anymore", the list goes on and on. We let ourselves break those promises, even the same ones over and over. How much longer will we let this go on? We wouldn't tolerate this behavior from others, yet we do it to ourselves.  "Self-esteem is just the reputation that you have with yourself. You'll always know." - Naval Ravikant. Constant Changing

Stress comes from not wanting things we like, to remain the same and things we don’t like, to change Life is constantly changing The present is the only time we have Enjoy it It is the only time when things don’t change. Enjoy the things you don’t want to change Endure the things you want to change, knowing that it will There will be a day when you realize the struggle you went through and look back with a smile

Good days and Bad days

There will be days where you have to use all your strength just to get up. Everything you have to open your eyes. All your will just to put one foot in front of the other. All you have left just to be. Your heart isn’t in it, you have the energy. You just don’t and can’t. When these times happen, just do what you must do to get through it. Do the bare minimum. Fake it if you can, just go through the motions but go through the motions. Sometimes that’s all we have.  There will also be days when you don’t want to sleep and can’t wait to get up. You’re unstoppable and have endless energy. Nothing can stand in your way. No obstacle is too large to overcome. You’ll get more done on those days than the whole week combined. Harness those days. Fulfill those days.  Know that we will have different days and that the next day will be different.  As we learn, we’ll learn how to smooth out the valleys so they dip less and heighten the mountains so they become even easier to climb.
